Visibility and blind spots you can't afford to guess about

A higher seating position generally gives a clearer view over traffic, which is one honest advantage of crossovers over sedans. But thick rear pillars and small rear windows can create real blind spots that no amount of seat height fixes.

Sit in the driver's seat and actually check over each shoulder before buying, rather than trusting the window sticker. Pair that with blind-spot monitoring rather than relying on either one alone.
