Door direction and tub size

Doors open inward or outward. Inward doors seal well and save floor space but leave less room to move; outward doors make entry easier for wheelchair users and larger bodies but need clearance in front of the tub.

Measure your bathroom before you fall in love with a model. Also consider bariatric (wider) and wheelchair-accessible designs if they fit the user's needs — the right fit matters more than the brand name.
