The drain-time problem nobody mentions

Here's the catch with any walk-in tub: you have to be seated inside while it fills and while it drains, because the door can't open until the water is gone. On a slow drain, that can mean sitting in cooling water for several minutes.

Fast-drain systems and in-line water heaters exist specifically to fix this. If the bather gets cold easily, prioritize a quick-drain system and a heated seat or backrest over cosmetic extras.
